Flexport is a global logistics platform that simplifies the supply chain by offering a unified system to manage all your shipments. They leverage data for predictive modeling and analytics, empowering smarter decision-making at every step. With a streamlined workflow, Flexport makes it easy to succeed in supply chain management on a global scale.Â
In their mission of simplifying global trade by connecting everyone in the supply chain, Flexport covers a vast business footprint. By data privacy standards, that’s a massive footprint of people covered by various data privacy laws and regulations. (By the end of 2024, Gartner predicts that 75% of the world’s population will be covered by data privacy regulations.)Â
For modern, fast-growth enterprises like Flexport, maintaining compliance with this increasing number of regulations can be a challenge alongside revenue-focused priorities. Flexport started their privacy compliance journey with a basic website cookie banner. However, as regulations grew more specific and varied, it was clear that the team needed to find a new solution that could keep pace with a fragmented landscape.Â
With this challenge front-and-center, Flexport embarked on a search for a new platform to meet key requirements:Â
After a short evaluation, Flexport selected Ketch to begin their upgraded privacy journey.Â

Paul Yi, Software Engineer at Flexport, jumped in to take the lead with Ketch on the consent management platform implementation. The Ketch and Flexport teams began with a scan of Flexport.com to understand the complete picture of cookies, trackers, and pixels running on Flexport web properties.
“As a software engineer, my first impressions of Ketch were surprise and delight. The UI is intuitive and rooted in a clicks-not-code approach, with sensible defaults built in that make changes a breeze.”

Following the website scan, the project team moved into Google Tag integration, categorization, and orchestration:
“Ketch tag orchestration is impressive,” said Paul. “At a granular level, we are connecting our website trackers and pixels to people’s consent choices–only firing tags when they align with user preferences. It’s an efficient, easy-to-deploy solution backed by sophisticated, automated technology.”Â
Following tag orchestration set-up, Paul worked with the Ketch Customer Success team to complete the remaining aspects of consent management deployment:
Privacy is a team sport, and Paul coordinated the rollout across multiple Flexport stakeholders, from legal, to security, to marketing. He relied on the Ketch team for any questions that came up from these various internal teams. For example, Flexport’s European marketing automation manager had questions about the default translations available in Ketch. “Our internal team has limited resources for data privacy management, and Ketch minimizes our need for professional services,” said Paul. “Their customer support and intuitive, clicks-not-code platform are a complete solution to our privacy compliance needs.”Â
Today, Flexport is confidently compliant with data privacy laws and regulations across the globe. Next up? Rolling Ketch out to additional web properties, continuing their journey towards a comprehensive compliance strategy for all Flexport brand sites.Â
As Flexport continues to expand their global footprint, partnering with scalable vendors and platforms is part of creating a strong foundation for strategic growth. Ketch ensures that customer and partner relationships can flourish without concern for data privacy compliance or due diligence.
